About SunnyArts Neighborhood Association
Welcome to SunnyArts Neighborhood Association (SANA)! We’re very glad you’re here. We are a registered neighborhood association with the City of Sunnyvale. We hope to encourage all residents within our defined boundary to join SunnyArts. There are no fees to join the association. Here is our neighborhood charter and By laws.
Key goals of the association are to:
- Promote community involvement and participation
- Establish and maintain a line of communication between the City of Sunnyvale and the residents of the community
- Provide a voice to city staff, school personnel, and the rest of the community concerning the implementation of services, community needs, and events
- Recruit volunteers and sponsors to aid in service to the neighborhood and city
- Enhance the quality of life within the area.
We feel this gives all residents the following advantages:
- Enhances our neighborhood
- Allows us to address common concerns, e.g. traffic control
- Helps us learn how to prevent crime; establish Neighborhood Watch programs
- Have a stronger voice in local government
- Provide a forum where candidates for city council can directly address us
- Allows us to know our neighbors – Foster communication and interaction between neighbors for the common good
