National Night Out-August 5, 2025

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. NNO 2025 was scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 6:00-8:30 pm in Ortega Park. It was a potluck where residents brought food to share and board members ordered pizzas, dessert and drinks. Funds acquired through the City of Sunnyvale’s Neighborhood Grant program were used for this event.

Representatives from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, K9, Motor units, and the Fire Truck attended this event. We estimate that over 150 people participated. Mayor Larry Klein, City Manager Tim Kirby, Chief of Public Safety Daniel Pistor and Council member Murali Srinivasan were also present at the event.
